How do you take out broken zippers in bags, and put in new ones?

i have this purse that i absolutly love, but the zipper broke. is there a way that i could put in a new one? the zipper like split or something like that, because when ever you go to zip it up it just zips but doesnt close. thanks

I take mine out by cutting the stiching holding it in and then I just sew the other on. It is really easy. Just remember when you take the zipper off to cut only the stitches holding it in. If you cut the side of the zipper or bag you will have a lopsided new zipper when you put it on.
