When I was a kid, every pair of jeans I had featured zippers that would slide down on their own usually as soon as I got on the school bus. Now I have two pair that are doing the same thing every time I enter the supermarket. This is not an appropriate way to meet women these days, so I'm wondering if anyone has a simple fix for this short of sewing in a new zipper. I'm too cheap to buy new trousers until I've worn down the patches on the patches, and these are still nearly new.
How does one fix a slippy zipper on ones blue jeans?
You can try rubbing a piece of wax paper along the zipper teeth before you close them. If that doesn't work, take them to a tailor and have the zipper replaced with one that has metal teeth.
Reply:when you zip them up then flip the tab down to lock it. didn,t your mama teach you that?
Reply:I think after you zip it all the way to the top, you have to flip the tab down to lock it, don't leave the tab sticking out. Maybe this will help?
