My jacket's zipper's bad. Before I decide to replace it, what are some methods that help unstick bad zippers?

grab a candle and rub it up and down the teeth of the zip, this should unstick it and help it run smoothly

there's a wax made for this.... use it. get it from ebay.com type in zipper wax (or something revelant) it's made to make stuck zippers (metal and nylon) glide. it also extends the life of nylon zippers. :D Report It

Reply:I use WD40, to lube it up first, and Ranom lubricants normally worked, I used a bit of WD40 on a stuck one of mine, it worked fine. Good Luck man!
Reply:you can rub a wax candle on the teeth of the zipper or use oil on the teeth as well...
Reply:try rubbing a little bar soap on the zipper an tracks.
Reply:Spray it carefully with WD-40 not allowing the WD-40 to touch the cloth. Also, candle wax or bar soap can be used for a lubricant.
Reply:spit on it
Reply:vaseline - or rubbing a candle on the zipper.
Reply:rub a wax candle over the teeth of the zipper...i find that always helps
Reply:funny question. Some times the double thick fabric that covers the zipper when it is zipped, or the inside fabric that the zipper is sewn onto will lean over and lay accross the zipper.when you pull the zipper up it also pulls the fabric in and the zipper head will catch the fabric and hold it there. At this point you have to pull the fabric out. This also leads to broken zipper teeth. If youre zipped up and the bottom opens you got problems. At this point you can only line up the zipper teeth as best you can and try to unzip if you cant you will have to operate and remove the teeth from the head. oh and dont try to zip up agian it is waisted.
