Is there such a thing as zippers that dont require sewing them on with a machine or by hand?

Some manufacturers make men%26#039;s clothing with zippers that are glued in with fabric glue. While it may make the zipper stay in the clothing longer, if the clothes are tight the garment will tear and not be repairable. If the zipper breaks as they sometimes do, you can%26#039;t replace it because you can%26#039;t get the old zipper out.

Yes. The technology is called CWS %26quot;construction without sewing%26quot;. The zippers and zipper tape are actually bonded or welded ..even laser welded to the fabric.

This type of garment construction is generally used for waterproof, technical outerwear and sportswear.

Mountain Hardware, Patagonia, Nike, LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Scott, Burton, Spyder , The North Face all use this technology.

Reply:No and what would be the point of having a zipper if you could close it up anyway.
Reply:I believe that there are iron on types, like you would apply a patch. If the pants are tight, though, it may not hold up too well.
Reply:Why, certainly. It%26#039;s called Velcro. Get out the hot glue gun.
