she eats any zipper or metal grommet that she can get to. She chews on it and there is so much saliva that comes out of her mouth-- her mouth even starts foaming a little. Why can she not leave zippers alone?

maybe she just likes them...?
Reply:It may be a form of obsessive compulsive disorder. Re-direct her attention when she starts doing this by either clapping your hands or making some other loud noise and when she gives you her attention reward her. You have to be consistent with this to get her over it.
