In ANSWER to your question, the zipper can be replaced. This same thing happened to me 27 years ago on a new tent I used for camping on the beach, sand in the zipper! I took it back to the warranty service shop, and they told me that sand wasn%26#039;t covered, but the girls said since I was with a woman, they would replace the zipper for free, and did a darn good job of it! I am still evaluating the experience and still use the tent! Perhaps you can talk a girlfriend into accompanying you to the shop..........Regards, Larry.
Reply:Are you sure the zipper is not caught on the tent material? Otherwise I have never had a zipper get stuck, if you rip it, no biggy. You can get a new zipper for a fairly reasonable price. I bought an old tent that the zippres teeth fell off on, and even though I know nothing about sewing managed to stitch it together.
Reply:If its a metal zipper rather than wd40 you may want to get something like liquid wrench. WD 40 is an ok product but stands for water displacement and it took them 40 times to get the formula the way they wanted it. Liquid wrench is more of a penatraiting lubricant. If it%26#039;s a nylon zipper you may try liquid dish washing soap and a hole lot of jiggling back and forth.
Reply:Try just going to a nearby camping store. Or just get a new tent bur first try the camping store. It always helps!
Reply:buy a new tent
Reply:pull harder use pliers
