What are some important proteins that contain leucine zippers?

Well leucine zipper is a common motif for transcription factors. Because I%26#039;m a neuroscientist, the big one that sticks in my mind is Cyclic AMP Response Element-Binding Protein, i.e. CREB.

Some immediate early genes, like AP-1, c-fos are bZIPs too.
